Seabyrd Trio is a Seattle-based jazz ensemble bringing together musicians from Nathan Hale, Auburn Riverside, and Chief Sealth high schools. We're Maddie Johnston on piano, Aviv Cisneros on drums, and Theo McGaughey on bass—three students who love jazz and are committed to keeping the musical tradition alive.

Under the mentorship of Seattle jazz legend and internationally acclaimed trumpeter Thomas Marriott, along with other luminaries in the Seattle jazz scene, we've developed both our individual voices and our chemistry as a group. This guidance has shaped not just our sound, but our understanding of jazz as a living, breathing art form.

Our name honors the memory of Charlie "Bird" Parker and our Pacific Northwest roots. Whether we're performing at a local coffee shop or at larger venues like Jazz Fellowship or Seattle Townhall, our goal is simple: to connect with our community through music and learn from the people who have kept this tradition alive.
