Seabyrd Trio is a Seattle-based jazz ensemble bringing together passionate young musicians from Nathan Hale, Auburn Riverside, and Chief Sealth high schools. We're Maddie Johnston on piano, Aviv Cisneros on drums, and Theo McGaughey on bass—three students united by our love for jazz and commitment to keeping this incredible musical tradition alive.

Under the mentorship of Seattle jazz legend and internationally acclaimed trumpeter Thomas Marriott, along with other luminaries in the Seattle jazz scene, we've developed both our individual voices and our chemistry as a group. This guidance has shaped not just our sound, but our understanding of jazz as a living, breathing art form.

Our name honors the memory of Charlie "Bird" Parker, and like our namesake, we believe jazz is meant to be shared. Whether we're performing at intimate coffee shops or larger venues, our goal is simple: to connect with our community through music and spread the joy that jazz brings to our lives. We hope that passion comes through in every note we play
